Mold Surface Treatment named Kanuc is a proprietary gas nitriding treatment developed in 1985 in Japan by Kanuc Co., Ltd. They established factory in Indonesia in 2011 and we cooperate with PT. Kanuc Indonesia to provide Mold Surface Treatment for our customers in many sectors such automotive industries, electronic parts industries, cutting tools industries, food & drugs industries, medical tools industries, and resin compounding industries.
This treatment differs from conventional nitriding, which mainly uses FeN, whereas Kanuc treatment is a diffusion treatment that mainly uses CrN, MoN, etc. (not FeN).
By significantly improving the problems associated with other conventional nitriding, such decreasing in toughness, dimensional changes, and surface roughness after the treatment, Kanuc treatment has become a solution to be applied in a wide range of fields with 5 special characteristics as follows.
1. Hardened layer mainly composed of diffusion layer with little decrease in toughness.
2. Uniform effects can be obtained even in complex shapes and deep holes.
3. Little change in surface roughness.
4. Less warping and dimensional changes.
5. Treatment effects can be reproduced through repeated treatment (Re-Kanuc).
With these special characteristics of Kanuc treatment, we can meet requirements from customers in many sector of industries.
